Shipping Information

Gift packaging and delivery is complimentary for all UK addresses. This is for a Standard Tracked Delivery Royal Mail 48 service. Dispatch is usually within 2-3 working days. Please allow for weekends and look out for your shipment confirmation (be aware that this may go into your spam folder).

If you would like a faster next-day service, please email us on hello@from-afar.co before making your order to confirm this is possible. There may be an additional fee.

We are trying to make to make gifting as easy as possible but understandably with several personalised elements unique to each order (ribbon and notecard) we need a little time to make things extra special. 

We will contact you to inform you of any delays to your order.

We dispatch all orders Monday-Friday.

Please note that we can take no responsibility for packages left in a 'safe place' as arranged between you and your delivery person. If the package shows as delivered in a good state on arrival, we can take no responsibility for any damage occurring after this point.

International Delivery

We do not currently ship outside the UK as standard, but it is very important to us, as From Afar is inspired by long-distance love.

If you would like to ship overseas, please email hello@from-afar.co detailing which package you would like to send and to what address and we will provide you with a personalised international shipping cost.

It is not possible to precisely estimate customs fees due to increased surcharges so we are not able to accept any liability for any additional costs outside the shipping charged at point of sale.

Local Cheltenham collections

We offer a local collection from our warehouse in Cheltenham. Please email hello@from-afar.co if you would like this option and we can arrange the order directly.

Delivery Provider Updates

You will receive an email from us once your order has been packed and dispatched with further information in regard to which service used including tracking information if applicable. Royal Mail Tracked service will communicate directly with you in regards to delivery date and timing.

Should you wish to make any changes to this, please communicate directly with either service. Unfortunately, once the order has left us, we are not able to make changes to this on your behalf.

Please check and ensure you have communicated the correct address as we are also unable to make any changes to this once the order has been processed and dispatched. Any address error resulting in the order being returned to us and needing to be resent will incur an additional postage charge of £5.00. We are really sorry for this, but as an independent retailer, we sadly don’t get the discounts that the Amazons of this world do.
This also applies to non-collected from the post office/local depot which then make their way back to us.

Orders placed online leave From Afar within 1-3 days, this varies seasonally and can at busy times occasionally be a little longer.

We will go over and above to get your gift to your loved one however we cannot guarantee dispatch time, but we can ensure you that we will do everything to get your order out to them, as fast as we and the postman can run.
